College-Colorado College Tigers
This photo captures the opening puck drop at the inaugural game on October 8, 2021 at Colorado College's new Ed Robson Arena. This new arena enables the Colorado College Tigers hockey team to play games on campus for the first time since their inception in 1938. Prior to the new arena, the team played their games at a variety of locations in Colorado Springs including the Broadmoor World Arena, the Air Force Academy's Cadet Ice Arena, and the World Arena. Named for 1954 CC graduate and former member of the hockey team, the Ed Robson Arena seats approximately 3,400 fans and features glass windows throughout the arena highlighting the beautiful views of the campus and surrounding mountains.
